Is it ok to buy a category C insurance car with no record of a VIC Inspection ?

If it hasnt yet been for its vic, you will recieve a letter asking you to take it for one before they will give you a V5 in your name.
Its simply a check to make sure it is the same car and not a ringer (cut and shut). it takes about half an hour and costs approx �45, it might also be worthwhile ensuring you have a vosa centre reasonably near to you as to save you too much hassle.
