I have the above named program installed but I am unable to play a new DVD I have also tried to play it on real player and windows media but it is telling me update the drivers any ideas how i can do this for free?

Try playing it in VLC (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/) or KMPLayer (http://www.kmplayer.com/forums/index.php), both free. Asking for drivers sounds more like a hardware issue though.
