Do I have to be Asian to be a TV reporter?

I'd like to get a job as a TV reporter, but I've watched TV news bulletins on BBC, ITV and Sky and (no exaggeration) most of their reporters are Asian. As I'm not Asian, what chance do I have of becoming a TV reporter? Any advice?

I have also noticed that the majority of call centre operatives are also Asian, so it is of no use applying for one of those jobs even.
