registered sex offenders on myspace !!

Watching cbs news and they have just said that myspace have discovered 29,000 registered sex offenders on mytspace using their real names.

they suspect figures could be double as some are using alias names.


that is very very worrying and disturbing.

Despite the fact that I dump my children on my mum so that I can go out on a saturday night to have a few drinks or smoke a couple of joints, or that I during my teens had self harming ways, when my children are old enough to want to use social networking sites I would very much want to supervise them. I would ask to have access to their accounts but I would not sit over their shoulder watching what they were doing. I would want to exercise some trust in them and expect them to be able to come to me is anyone was worrying them. I would not want them talking to adults that they didn't know. Not being able to trust and respect my children would be a very sad day for me indeed!
