However, even in his madness Hitler, I hate to admit, did do some good.
1) He had a vision that the worlds natural resources were finite, hence his meeting with Dr Porsche and the establishment of the VW (Peoples car). A long lasting, cheap to run, tidy little motor.
2) He revitalised post industrial revolution transport networks, both private and public. A lesson our Govt could learn from!!!
3) He had balls!!!!! (or one, as the song says). I can't see Blair or Brown invading France, can you? And Lord knows we should. The longest period in History without England vrs. France!!!!
4) He saw the benefits of a centralised government. Dictorial maybe, but nowt wrong with a dictator if he makes sense.
But as I said, he was mad and kind of spoilt it all with his most unfavourable treatment of Jews, gay lords and just about anybody who didn't go Zieg Heil at at him.
And he was indirectly responsible for the death of my Great Grandfather in the Somme. Although it was WW1, he was German!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (Well Austrian)
