easy transfer

okay i have 2 computers next to each other - and i want to transfer thing from one to the other.. is there any easy way without usb pens or external devices? .. any way to transfer if i connect them together with a usb lead?

You need a special sort of USB lead: http://www.mdsbattery.co.uk/shop/productprofil e.asp?ProductGroupID=1667 (first Google result - so shop around), you could also use a crossover network cable (buy one or Google for DIY instructions) or if both have wireless you could try networking them together as an "ad hoc" network (though it would be much easier to use a router).

If running XP use the Migration Wizard contained in Windows.
In Programs, select Accessories/System Tools/Files & Settings Transfer Wizard and follow the instructions.
The Welcome page of the wizard contains a link to an in-depth explanation of the various methods of connecting the PCs
