I'm absolutely gutted, my 20yr old son's Ford Focus had its window smashed last night and the radio stolen. There were 7 targeted on the estate. Its his first car and he's only had it about six weeks. It seems this particular version has a radio chip which can be used to chip sky boxes to receive the service for free. Everywhere we have turned today, the poilice, other Focus victims, staff at Halfords and Autoglass had all heard of this scam. Its rumoured that Ford may be making an announcement soon not that it will help us now. Sorry for sounding off but just wanted to warn other owners.

Hi folks it seems we along with many others have been misled by what is being described as an 'urban myth', first thought to have originated by something in America so apologies for that but it is accurate that Focus break ins have risen sharply due to this 'myth' and are therefore at risk.
