can anyone tell me the title and author of a poem i remember studying in school but cant place, it think its a classic and it reads at first like a love poem to a woman but at the end its revealed the author has murdered the woman, or have i really lost it?

I think the peom you're looking for is 'Porphyria's Lover' by Browning. It's a very beautiful poem...and I remembered it in exactly the same terms as you've said!Let me know if I'm right,
