I have only one question to find with the quiz I am doing at the moment. Can anyone help please.

What was the name of the artist who when told that one of his portraits was ugly and distorted replied are you certain, madam, that it was my picture you were looking at and not your mirror.

I am guessing but it sounds like something Winston Churchill might have said --he was an artist.
Have you any Churchill references?

it was on there i put it on it cannot be churchill cos he did not paint portraits it something oscar wilde would say but he was not a painter i am still searching as this is the only one i have left

I am still searching. From other answers people seem to favour Modigliani but I cannot seem to find a site that confirms this.
