I'm off out on Saturday and i would really like some ideas for a new drink. I usually stick to lager but get bloated after 2, then i go on to Vodka usually with Cranberry. I drink this every week but i am not enjoying anymore! The fun has gone!! I need some new ideas! I do like Vodka but what else could i have with it? Or any other spirit suggestions would be welcomed.
If you like sweet drinks like cranberyy you should definitely try a Cuban. Its Morgan spiced rum, lime cordial and coke (make sure they used morgan spiced and not captain morgan!) or how about a martini, its very strong but its really yummy,
How about a gin and tonic or gin and lemonade, a glass of wine, a southern comfort and lemonade or a bloody mary (vodka/tomato juice with a bit of spicy worcester sauce)? all delicious options!
I hope this helps, let me know what you decide on! have fun!
Wow! i have never even heard of Morgans Spiced Rum!! Is it sold in most pubs?? Can't wait to try that one! Thanks you pair! I may also try the tomoato juice idea, but maybe not on the same night! I will have to out Sunday aswell!
They certainly sell it at my local. However, it is a quaint old village pub probably not the neon lights and jungle music bars you kids go to nowadays!!!!!
a blue lagoon is always good its bols blue vodka and lemonade.... reading the other answers i have just moved from kent to manchester and around here they dont do morgan spiced!!! god knows why
Believe me ShadowMan i am no young kid myself anymore! Give me a quaint cosy village pub any day!! Much more to my taste, but i have to venture out in to the big wide world sometimes! Ya know keep up with the trends. Well live in Birmingham and i have never ever seen the rum stuff... to be honest and now i am starting to make myself appear very old, i have never seen Bols Blue Vodka either! oh dear whats happening to the world! I need to get out more. Thanks ever so much for your answers.
If rum takes your fancy, but you can't find spiced - try ordinary dark rum but with ginger beer, NOT ginger ale though. It's called a 'Dark 'n Stormy' (dash of lime optional) and is a favourite of salty old sea dogs!! (And me...)
