why is the top of the grass leaves going brown

Hi Francis, Could be lots of reasons, but more information is needed. Is this something that just started? Is it possible that your mower blade needs to be sharpened? Is this the entire lawn or just one section? What has changed recently - more rain - drought? Also, it would be helpful to know where you live. Newt
