Is there a website where I can listen to bits of tracks from albums before I buy them - I have been disappointed by purchases in the past, the released single being very good and the rest of the album awful.

You could try http://www.dotmusic.com, if you haven't already. I know you can listen to latest releases from there, but I'm not sure about whole albums.
