i bought a new tv but have the same problem as the old one, its like part of the picture is missing at the sides, its a widescreen and no matter what setting it is on, the full picture is not there, i've ran out of ideas, but i'm not that technical anyway, can anyone suggest anything?
theres got to be a setting on the set up stage with preference to 16x9 picture
is you signal coming from a freeview box cos that has to be set in 16x9 also,at the moment you've got a 4x3 setting
i've tried it in auto setting, 4:3, 16:9, cinema, panarama etc, and theres still picture missing, you can only tell when there are words on the screen, like film credit etc, so its not that bad, but is still slightly annoying
To many people, setting up a TV etc is easy, to others less so. A bit like needing to call in a plumber to fix a leaking tap if you don't know what to do. At a guess you bought the TV online, or from a supermarket type outlet that don't offer a set up facility. With the money you saved, just accept that calling someone in, and paying their charge, will be the quickest and least frustrating route to take. Happy widescreen viewing
don't you know any tech savy people (nieghbours)in your area that you can ask,if it cant be fixed, get the place you bought if off to come and see to it as it will be under warranty ,if you got it off the interne its more of a problem to ,but bits still in warranty, they usually have local repair people do this for them
