Book about King Arthur?
6 Answers
Hi guys,
i'm looking for a fiction book about king Arthur, not about induvidual battles/adventures but just a genaral book about him. I've tried looking on the net but theres so many it would take hours to go through them all and find the right one so i'm hoping someone can recommend one.
I guess what i'm looking for is a book version of the 2004 film King Arthur (the one with Clive Owen and Keira Knightly).
Thanks in advance.

If you're going to read about King Arthur you should really read a translation of Sir Edmund Malory's Morte D'Arthur, which was the original Arthur tale (hate to break it to you people but he didn't exist!!!) It was written in Middle English, so reading the original is hard going, but there are many reasonably priced good translations available.
As I read your question the three mentioned above came to mind!!! So I guess you've got an answer. if I remember correctly "Mists of Avalon" is either told from the perspective of the women of Arthur's story is about the role of women in the Arthur story. ( I read it a long time ago) It was also a mdeiocre made for Tv movie. (in U.S.)
