30 quid, thats all I asked him for. A one off payment not even regular maintenance. In one year I have had 45 quid off him. Thats it. His excuse is it costs a lot to come and see them, hes seen them twice since he moved to Birmingham in May. He says he wants to help his kids but because of all this and having debts to pay off (which total about 200 quid a month) he feels like I am backing him into a corner. He's not poor. Why cant he see he has to pay me a little bit. I mean nappies in the last year have probably cost me 600 quid. Yet he has bought maybe 2 packs. What can I do to get him to give us a tiny little bit of money? If I take him to the CSA he will proper kick off.

Yes! report him to the CSA.

Mr P pays money to the CSA for his daughter, and to be honest it makes me feel sick to think of others getting away with paying nothing. He didn't even get to see his daughter for many months because his ex wife is an evil cow...yet he still paid.
Hi Goodsoulette, what an @rse he sounds! I'd get in touch with CSA, at least if you do that then you can rely on maintenance payments from him rather than random one offs. I can rough him up a bit for you if you like, shave an eyebrow off for a tenner I could.....

lol..... thanks Skreech. Although rereading this now I would love to know why there would have to be more to it than meets the eye Shanx? Do you think all men are saintly and give their exes as much as they can or do you think some of them leave bitter and think Im not giving you anything??

He is me ex for a very good reason. I am greatful that he is going to give me some money this time but I know the begging that will be involved the time after that. If I saw him frequently enough to ask him for the odd pack of nappies or to buy clothes for the boys (they are both under young and grow so quickly) then I would have asked him for nothing. I am happy for every penny that he gives me to be spent on stuff for them and not the house but what we have had wouldnt have bought nappies for 2 months let alone a year.
Did you dump him or did he dump you?
Not that it makes any difference, I was just wondering if he wasn't paying because he maybe feels like you should still be together?
Your not alone Goodsoulette, my ex and me have 3 kids together and in the past year has only given me 80!!

makes me sick, he lives with girlfriend and her kid and they well off!! they are ar$eholes
that was past 2 years not year,

I dumped him.
My ex owes me nearly 32,000 squids..........not holding my breath 13 years ive been waiting for maintenace.......my fault i suppose for choosing a right tw.a.t!!
Aye, he's probably gutted that you split up and doesn't want to give you money. A kick up the @rse from CSA might do the trick. My mum used to get money from my Dad to look after us and my wee brother still gets it as he's supposed to still be in fulltime education. If he can afford it then it's worth getting something if it helps you out, can't be easy for you.
