Does anyone know if the music video for Provider by NERD is actually taken from a film?
The video has people riding around on bikes, but this is cut between the story of a boy and a girl.
any ideas?

It tells the story of the song, about the man being a "provider" for his girlfriend. She signs him up for the army at the end, and the version of the song in the video ends with them all singing "someday this war will be over" with them all doing peace signs, so it might be refering to the war in Iraq as well. The people on the BMX's are the band.

Though it is shot like a short film, I'm almost 100% certain the scenes with the boy and the girl is just telling the story of the song. It shows the boy trying to be a "provider" for his girlfriend. I don't think it is from another film cus it fits so well with each part of the song. At the end she signs him up for the army, and in the version of the song in the video they all sing "someday this war will be over", so it might be refering to all the current fighting as well. The people on the BMXs are the band.

the guy in the prple hoody is in the band, as is the guy who's filmed for most of the vidoe, there's also a whole bunch of caemo appearances from other famous people. Tony hawk the skateboarder is working in the shop, and the drummer from blink 182 was also in there. Would have been nice if there was an actual film it was taken from though
