what kind of person are you?
if someone did you wrong , say a friend.
and totally went behind your back and humiliated you.
if they tried to come between you and your other half.
would you forgive them?
could you forgive them?
and if you did forgive them would you always be suspicious of them and their scheming ways?

this hasnt happened to me but was a topic of discussion this afternoon at work : - )

I have a similar situation to pussnboots. My neighbour and good friend of 20 years went very odd when we moved 4 miles into a rental for 7 months. I invited her over, twice, a 3rd time open ended and she never came so I thought, pants to you Mrs. She claimed she was too ill to pop over but I met her several times out shopping so she blew that excuse. She rang me on my mobile 2 weeks ago asking if I'd moved away, I said yes and she gave me her e mail address.
I dont stand much cr@p these days, my patience has run out and you get treated as you treat me. Forgiveness, in my experience and I dont think I am alone, just leaves people thinking they can do it again. I deserve to have nice, reliable, caring people around me because I am one.

My sister is worse than me. We haven't spoken for almost 6 years, she didn't speak to our Dad for the last 12 years of his life. She forgives no one.

well in affairs of the heart a friend doin that is no friend

theyre history

end of

and theyre saddos too.
I have forgiven just about everyone of anything bad they have done, I once fell out with a mate who owed me a grand when I was 6 months pregnant, asked her if she could start paying it back, she said yeah. Bought herself a new car and then told me I could go F*** myself. After I had my baby I called her and forgave her, never got the cash back tho.
I haven't forgive my best mate of 25 years for telling another mate she didn't believe me about my ex beating me up. An angry family member pointed out that not only had the police been called and the attacks had been witnessed by almost every neighbour I have, and she still didnt apolgise to me. So we havent spoken since. I dotn think Ill ever stop being cross about that,
good grief goodsoulette tuff times huh never part with money to a friend i suppose we all learn the hard way.
i can forgive but never forget.

goody you forgave all that??

do u think thats hardened u now ??
no, not at all. Its only money after all. Its not like I gave her the money outright. We shared a house and it was bills and rent and stuff.
I am completely useless at revenge.

I think - I will not react now because it will be obvious, I will wait a few months and get my revenge when they least expect it. I will then burn their house down/cut their brake lines/pi55 in their milk bottles (which ever is the most appropriate).

Unfortunately (or fortunately) I tend to forget and do nothing.
poor gromit : -)
I have fogiven far too much in my time and its about time i got tough! lol but i can't!!!!! Thats my nature!

I do forgive but have more diffuiculty forgetting. I hate to loose a friendship no matter what wrong ive been done! It would have to be very very bad for me to walk away without trying to make ammends. Life is too short.
some people are just so stubborn though eh ?
I'm a nice person.

If a friend humiliated me then they're not a friend. Simple as that.

Depends on the reason why they're trying to come between me and any significant other. Perhaps they see/know something I don't. I'd listen to what they have to say.

It really depends on the circumstances whether I forgive or not.
say they were just jealous and wanted him for themselves?
I'd pity them and leave them to it for a little while.
yes legend, some people but and i can only control my actions not those of the other party!

Once upon a time a i had af friend who did something that to most was unforgiveable. we fell out, didnt speak for a couple of years but are now very close once again. I for one am glad i havent got that stubborn streak!
Years ago my husband and "best friend" had a year long affair. The marriage survived but I would still smash her face in if I set eyes on her now. I'm talking 1970's here so no I don't forgive!
horselady, what i dont get about that though is how you forgive your husband and dont express a desire to smash his face in and yet your friend is in danger if you ever clap eyes on her. LOL Just wondering how that works.
Oh believe me he suffered at the time, I made his life hell and he certainly was on the receiving end of a few smacks! She vanished pretty swiftly (left the area with another womans husband!) so I never had the satisfaction of making her suffer. As I said, it was so long ago that the wounds have healed now, but how our marriage survived god only knows, old story of the kids kept us together i suppose.
