I've always used the term - Railway Station but there is an increasing tendency to say Train Station, which should it be?

Stewey...with all due respect, Via Rail is Canadian. And http://www.amtrak.com just lists 'stations.'

indeed, westwood...this has been fascinating!

Thank you everyone!

.........and the last I heard, Canada is still part of North America; therefore, if the term 'railroad station' is commonly used in Canada (as indicated in my link) it is a commonly used North American term. Your supplying of a link referring to the U.S. in which 'stations' is commonly used does not negate the fact that north of the border 'railroad station' is commonly used.
i'm probably too late with this - but i have always said 'bus station' and 'railway station' - somehow train station doesn't doesn't do it for me ?
