It might be something like " Doing an Amelda, (Marcos)", who was the wife of an ex-president of the Philippines, and was famous for the number of pairs of shoes she possessed

my hubby calls me Imelda LOL His saying is i can only wear one pair at once!! ;o)

It's definitely something to do with Imelda I would think. When the Marcos's were deposed in the Philipines and fled, Imelda left 3,000 pairs of shoes behind.
