I have tried b&q own range and thought it was rubbish, thin and lethargic. wickes is a builders type retailer, and would think that the quality was reasonable, but not up to the standards of dulux or crown. just depends on what you are painting, is it to be admired, or just a bit of wall or skirting that everybody walks past and ignores?.
don't buy cheapo brushes, buy the best and prepare well and I'm sure wickes will be ample for most applications.
