I've not lost weight through my gym attendance though. I feel it needs a combination of regular exercise and fewer daily calories, and if one is sufficiently determined this can be achieved by regular walking, etc.. You do build up your muscles at a gym which can in fact increase your weight whilst at the same time trimming your body shape. Fees for both weighwatchers and the gym line somebody else's pockets. Exercising at home and eating fewer calories can have the same effect at no cost. Why not get a good exercise video and try it out at home, or get a book of exercises from the library and do these on a comfortable mat indoors whenever the TV adverts come on ? And I couldn't agree more with Bewley Bros about the terrible music at gyms. Frankly I'd rather exercise to Mozart or Albinoni, but then maybe I'm a classical music freak. I HATE going to the gym. Although I've been going regularly, it's a penance for me and not a pleasure.
