My head gasget needs changing in my VW Golf. any idea on prices for the parts?

You could pick one up off ebay for between �30 - �60...just make sure it is for your model

Puttiing one in is a hell of a job!! What is the value of your car? It may not be worth it!!

would guess I could probably get about �1500 for it,if it was running ok.

how much do you think a garage would charge?

Parts are not the problem its the labour cost if you or a friend cant do it yourself
