Works Christmas Holiday Entitlement
4 Answers
My friend's partner works in a factory. They work up until Christmas Eve, just have Christmas Day & Boxing Day off (Tues, 25th, Wed. 26th Dec.), then return on Thursday to finish the week out. No one's able to take any more days off, as time has to be accrued, & the working year goes from November to November - so they would've worked for one extra day maximum. Now the company's decided to close down for the entire week. The employees'll be paid - but the extra days they take off are to be deducted from their holiday entitlement of 20 days per year. I don't think this is legal, but can anyone advise please?

He must make sure he gets his extra 4 days paid holiday.
