credit card balance transfer

I have got �1000 balance on a capital one card. If I can transfer it to another card thats interest free for 3,6 or 12 months then I just pay off the balance minus the interest?? Is that how it works? Anybody recommend a good one pls

Yes - if it pay it off completely within the interest free period you pay no interest at all.

Beware the transfer fee - often 3%. That's �30 on �1000.
