I have a dvd player that doesn't play region 1 dvds. Could you tell me the names of dvd players that play multi regions please? Note that it's an actual dvd player, not on my PC! Thanks xxx

What is the make/model of your old DVD player as you maybe able to unlock it? See here: http://www.regionfreedvd.net/players.html  As for a new player, the Sony DVP-NS305s is multi-region.
When i bought my philips dvd i went to yahoo typed in the make & model followed by the word hack & i came across a site that gave me the code.It was just a few numbers i had to input through my remote. However please be aware that some dvd hacks will only let you change your player back & forth several times & then it locks to what ever region you last had it at.What i did with my dvd player is i set it at region 0 which means it's universal & i can play any region dvd's without changing the region numbers all the time.
no problem just use any search engine & type in 'dvd hack'.a list of websites will appear & ask you for the make and model of your dvd player, then you can unlock it using a series of numbers[typed in through your remote control]hope this helps.

Hey guys, the make of my dvd is Matsui - Model V-DVD500. I've searched before on some sites but there are no codes for this model that's why i'm resorting to buy another dvd player! It's a combo with a VCR if that helps at all. Thanks for all your help so far! xxx

Best region free DVD player on the market is Pacific 1000 from Asda .... retails at a staggering 28.97 and the code is easily found on the site mentioned above my another AB member.

< P>It plays cd's, mpegs, cd-r's, vcd, dvd-r's, cd-g's ... you name it, it plays it!!

Ahhh thank you soo much Mrs Cheeks! I will be acquiring that very soon! There's no hope for my Matsui I'm afraid! Only good thing is it's a space saver as it's a combo! Oh well! xxxx

Try this, it is supposed to work for the DVD500 as well: http://www.dvd.reviewer.co.uk/info/multiregion/full/Matsui225.asp
