Some college pals and I are hoping to meet up in the new year, and I'm trying to arrange a good place to meet, that isn't too much of a pain for everyone to travel to. My geography isn't great, so could someone please help me? We come from all over the place, including:

London (we went there last time, so don't want to do that again)
Guildford
St Albans
Cheltenham
Newcastle
Slough
Hillingdon

I'm based in Cheltenham, and as the host I would like to invite everyone here, but also want to offer a few alternatives if people don't want to come here.

I would appreciate any ideas

Taking out Newcastle, you're all southern so how about Oxford or the Cotswolds

I did consider Oxford. Do you think Cheltenham is reasonable then, as it would be much easier to arrange this in my hometown as I know the good places
Cheltenham is reasonable because you know it, you could also pop to Gloucester

Thanks - I'll try to sugest that!
Cheltenhams close enough to the Cotswolds too and I would imagine easy enough to get the train to and driving from london just M4 & M5
