Did anyone actually think this was a good piece of film making? I watched it on Sunday night at about midnight so I was a little tired but I couldn't follow the loose "plot" and I found no empathy with any of the cardboard characters (billy, mickey, timmy, tommy, etc (insert male name ending in Y). A very tiresome affair altogether...  I won't be watching any more Guy Ritchie films and I wish i'd watched AVP instead.  Anyone else?

well firstly, it's not by guy ritchie! secondly, go watch it again and admire how amazing the film looks. the cinematography alone is worth 5.50 of anyones money. lastly, go watch alien versus predator. i'm sure that you'll be able to understand the "plot" of that movie masterpiece!

Having seen Layer Cake I thought it followed in the footsteps of Lock Stock, Snatch etc(hard not to draw comparisons really) and I thought it just about stood shoulder to shoulder with them.  I'd also defy anyone to have predicted THAT ending!

Having also seen AVP I would recommend you save your money and wait until it is on Sky because I wouldn't have even paid to hire it!

The fact it ISN'T a Guy Ritchie Film is a bonus. Who wants to see another film By Mr Madonna, starring the ex Mr Kelly Brook and Vinny Jones!
I too thought it was similar to Lock,Stock, I really enjoyed and will be getting on DVD when it comes out!!!
