Thanks for posting this Reds. Last month I had my eyes tested. Vision is perfect, everything's fine. But guess what! They give me condoms, yes condoms in a beautiful little metal case. lol

I believe the condoms were a promotional offer from the company to encourage safe sex.

whats the point of this? no one does half the things were "supposed" to do. why? cuz no one cares or bothers till its too late! just cuz its free makes a difference? i dont think so. the government tells us to eat five fresh fruit and veg a day, if they gave it out free to everyone, im not convinced we'd all run up to gordon brown with our hand out asking for our free fruit and veg! puh-leeease!

As a DSE user, I'm entitled to free eye tests via work. In certain circumstances I can also get part of the cost of specs paid.

The thing is, because it's through work (a local authority), I will take advantage, where I can, of anything they provide FoC. After all, they don't give us much. The maddening thing is that although my colleagues feel the same way, they are just so apathetic when it comes down to it. As DSE assessor, I give out the forms for free eye tests, but no-one takes advantage - not even those at most risk.
