Have just got a Mac, however it does not have word on it. Is there anyway I can get Word from the internet for free? Thanks

No, but you could try Open Office (Word compatible) here:-

http://download.openoffice.org/2.3.1/index.htm l?focus=download
You could also try Neo Office.

http://www.neooffice.org/neojava/en/index.php

This will also allow you to open and save MS Word files.

I've not used it on the new Mac OS X (10.5 - Leopard).
It worked fine on my OS X (10.4 - Tiger).

many thanks you two
Use NeoOffice, not OpenOffice.

NeoOffice is based on the same code, but is better for Macs (I won't go into it).

For a more polished system, iWork is good.
