Ive been looking for charity postal quizzes, so if you are running one or know of any that are running then please leave details as to where i can send for them

Consider the following cryptic clues ~ all answers begin with the letter "D"
1.Disturbed, sordid lady even she created calamity on
film (5,3)
2. Trump, for example, means nothing to cartoon
character (6,4)
3. She distressed Samson (7)
4. Town that is loved to the North (of Ripon) (10)
5. Bird of evil returns to elegant King (8)
The first two are "Double Deckers" (each word starts with the same letter), the next is a person's name, then a place name and the final one is a bird.
Interested? There are 100 similar clues in the Second Dragonfly Quiz entitled "D is for Double Decker" which contains clues to 50 Double Deckers and 50 words starting with the letter "D" (with five themed groups of 10). Copies of the new Quiz can be obtained from the organiser: Mrs Pauline Ward, 9 Hassop Road, Reddish, Stockport, Cheshire, SK5 6ST. Entry is �1 and cheques should be made payable to "Stockport NHS Foundation Trust (Dragonfly Team)" which will support the work of a local Children's Pallative Care Team nursing chronically and terminally ill children, some of whom are spending their last days in the bosom of their family wherever possible.
Don't forget to enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
You will have until the beginning of March 2008 to submit your answers and �50 has been allocated for prizes ~ including a prize for obtaining the average score and another prize for scoring below the average!
Once again, the Questions have been set by Krophta (aka crofter).

If you enjoy the 'Rainbow Quizes', or have recently enjoyed Crofter's Dragonfly Quizes then I am sure you will enjoy the 'Rocky Horrors' as well. The quiz comprises 100 cryptic clues on the theme of Rocks, Stones, Minerals and Gems - hence the title 'Rocky Horrors'. Every answer either is, or contains, a rock, stone, mineral or gem.
The quiz is to raise funds for the upkeep of the premises owned by Kirkcaldy Art Club (Registered Scotish Charity number SCO 37822). Closing date is January 31st 2008.
Quizzes are available for just �1 each + SAE (cheques made payable to Kirkcaldy Art Club - envelope at least 9" x 4")

Religious Connections, raising money for Church Restoration Fund, and Seeing Double, annual quiz produced by Blue Coat School, Oldham, are both available from Keith Gledhill, Tandle View, 192, Middleton Road, Royton, Oldham OL2 5LT. Please send a cheque for �1 per quiz (�2 if wanting both) made payable to Keith Gledhill and enclose a 1st Class SAE.
Clsoing date for Religious Connections is 18th January 2008 (likely to be extended) and Seeing Double is last Friday in January 2008.

First Prize is �100, second �50 and third �25 . There are lots of other prizes to win.
Answer sheets are to be returned by March 1st (loads of time to find those tricky questions)
The quiz costs �7 (of which �5 is a direct donation to Macmillan). Cheques etc should be made payable to 'Quizzes for Charity' and sent to QfC, 196 Telford Avenue, Stevenage, Herts SG2 0AU
The quiz can be sent by email if an address is provided; otherwise a SAE is very useful.

Thanks smouse. Yes, I think the idea is that you send them the money and then they can e-mail the quiz to you if you prefer. It's a good idea too with the pictures, because they are obviously much clearer than a printed copy (and can be enlarged on screen if there is any writing on them to try and help identify it).
I'm sure Munden will be advertising it on here in due course and will clarify if we are wrong.
