Does anyone from the food industry know if there are any plans to include the Glaecemic Index rating of foods on the packaging along with the other nutritional data ?

While you await an informed answer, there is a site run by an american journalist (I have no idea of its veracity) which lists the glycemic index of some 750 foods - maybe that would be of interest. http://www.mendosa.com/
