Hair dilemma.

Ms Carrust has just come back from the hairdressers. She couldn't see her usual stylist as she had double-booked. Anyway, the new stylist has made a much better job than the old one....What does she do when it needs cutting again???

If she likes the cut better then she should ask for the new stylist next time, its difficult enough to find a good one !

The problem is that the original stylist works in the next chair.

She is the client so she can have who ever she wants to cut her hair .

If she is worried about her usual stylist all she needs to do is say she will carry on with the new one in case the double booking scenario becomes a regular occurance.

maybe the usual stylist wont mind tho, she does seem pretty busy anyway, but at the end of the day its the client's choice

When she needs a cut again, she should simply get a cut again. She should call and make an appointment with the one who she is most pleased with. After all, she is paying to have the job done, the choice should be hers, not the hairdressers. She pay them, they don't pay her.

speaking as an ex hairdresser who this has happened to, ts really not a problem carrust. tell mrs carrust to have who she wants to cut her hair. Her usual hairdresser will understand and in that game its swings and roundabouts.

What I forgot to mention is the hairdresser is her friend's son's girlfriend. So she has to tread carefully.

Hiya carrust. Same thing happened to me a few years back, I just went to the one I preferred and there was no problem. My view was I was paying the reddies so can have the hairdresser of my own choice to cut my hair.

I appreciate she 'knows' the hairdresser...Pippa's answer is a good one. Or she could play it a bit vague and say without thinking she just asked for her usual hairdresser and they checked the person who cut her hair previously. That's even if the subject arises.

Best thing to do when she goes in though is not look embarrassed and say hi to the woman who did cut her hair. After all, it's her cash to splash! :D

Just tell her straight if she asks, My image is everything to me and I hadn't realised that until I had it cut differently by someone else what a difference it has made to me , you don't mind me using her do you ?? she will say no not at all....

She found this out by default , i too had the same barber for years same cut etc etc then he went and retired leaving a younger man in charge of the shop, First time i went i thought i will give him a chance , that was 7 years or so ago, it took about 6 months to have my ears out of my hair and now i have more street cred and am far happier about my hair .............
