My hair breaks off in little bits at the ends, is there any supplement I can take to prevent this from happening? And what are the best hair products to use? And am I the only one or does this happen to anyone else?

This is just split ends. No product will "cure" these, although some conditioners will make you think they are gone by smoothing them down temporarily.

Best thing to do is to have them snipped off at the hairdressers- problem solved!

Will it definitley be split ends? I had my hair trimmed 5-6 weeks ago.
Not necessarily split but they snap off - mine does this, i can literally sit there get a handful of hair and if i tug at the ends they just snap off. I use Redken Anti-Snap shampoo and leave in conditioner which has helped it but nothing other than regular trimming will stop it. Also avoid over processing like bleaching, blow-drying and straightening as chances are like me, i'd guess you do this a lot!

Thanks becks, I do straighten and dye my hair, but only colour the roots when needed. I will try Redken, I have heard it is good!

the redken range is the extreme range which has a strenghtening shampoo and conditioner and treatment, also the anti snap with is a god send! it is full of protein so isn't a long term product you should move on to all soft by redken after. it is sold at most regis salons which are placed all over world.
My hair does this all the time, but over the last 7 years I have been dying it, worst combination bleaching then putting darker colour on! Anyway I have been told that the term for this happening is breakage...a common problem if your is weak or under regular colour treatments, as a result in split ends, if you do colour your hair ideally you are meant to get the ends timmed every 6 weeks and if you dont colour then its every 8-10 weeks, unfortunately I have had to have all my hair cut off! And start again, but hopefully I have learnt my lesson! Good luck, also the Lanza range of hair products is great, bit pricey though, but worth it for lovely looking hair.
