Just watched BBC's One and Only it was
just a variation of Stars in Their Eyes.
Why bother when there will always only be
one Frank Sinatra.
What did you think of it?

I watched it too & thought if they could put a part of all 3 together, they might have something. it's a shame that there wasn't really anyone who looked & sounded alike but I enjoyed it anyway. I'll be watching it again!
Rubbish!
Made me reach for the bottle Mary T! What do they do with our tv licence fees? All wrong, all wrong.
sadly im a reality addict but this didnt even stir an interest in me! i had this image of desperate programme writers sitting in an office trying to come up with yet another reality show - i need a break from saturday 'talent' shows i think (and big brothers on the other side!!)
what a load of rubbish on lately , every night same old trash another rip off
I saw the first part (couldn't be bothered with the second) and felt they picked the wrong Madonna and the wrong Rod Stewart - still, who am I to argue with 'superfans'? Actually, I'm just sick to death of Graham bl00dy Norton being on telly every night (or so it seems).
The guy chosen as Rod actually lives where I do, and I have seen him as a performer a couple of times and in the street. I've always found him a sad character in that he wants to be someone else. and I guess you could say the same about anyone who copies someone famous. As for the programme, I won't watch it again.
It was nothing like as avertised in my tv guide. It said 15 guys in the 1st show & the 15 girls in the 2nd. I was under the impression that it was contest for tribute acts. There was also too much backstage stuff shown. Lets hope the live shows may be better. They certainly cant` be worse.
Only saw the first part of the second programme which featured the Kylie impersonators. The first one on at least looked and sounded like Kylie but the only similarity between the others and Kylie were that they were all female. When the final 3 were chosen - well, that was when I switched off. None of them looked remotely like Kylie and (to be honest) I'm not sure that one of them was even female!! A truly dreadful programme and the BBC should be ashamed of squandering our money in this fashion.
Look out for bands in local pubs. You will have a better night. This is where these people should be,not messing around with weekend TV which is there to entertain us,apparently.
I'm glad I taped this instead of wasting a Saturday night. I've seen better acts on Stars in Their Eyes. Not one stood out. I won't be tuning in to that next week.
