i recently changed the fuse box on my 1998 ford escort and now its just dead the fusebox i replaced it with works fine but the small red light on my dash under my clock is flashing quite fast any ideas?

That light flashing fast usually means the car is not accepting your key a valid.

Maybe changing the fuse box has also changed the cars "immobiliser" module? so it doesn't recognise your key any more. Do you have the red key? You could try to retune the key immobiliser.

hi thanks for the answer furry but the fusebox thats in now has been working fine as i replaced it 2 weeks ago its only until today that this problem has ocurred when i sit in the car i can here a noise from under the bonnet like something is constantly running and my light keeps flashing in different sequences all the time ??
