Books Online?

Ya know the way you can illegally download music and films from the internet, Is it possible to download books from anywhere? Anyone know of any websites? Purely for curiousity purposes of course ;-)

Google and Amazon make occasional noises about putting books online. Publishers of course threaten to sue. I'm not sure this is going to happen.

The project has loads of stuff. Great if you want a short piece (eg Metamorphosis) or extract quickly, or for a read on screen. If you want a whole book generally I would recommend you just buy a cheap 2nd hand copy, probably cheaper easier and more convenient than a massive printout.
