Do so many people expect other to do their research for them (happy to see they largely get ignored).  Similarly, why ask a factual question when a Google search can give you an answer in seconds?

i actually enjoy searching the interweb for people who perhaps are not that familiar with a google search.i do however ignor cowboy ,pink, compo questions etc.the most depressing questions are when you think they are genuine, you give them what you think is a helpfull answer and they come back with some kind of abuse!!but you have to take that chance as most questions are geniune.and this is answerbank is it not bangkok.

Fair enough about the Google searches Vinny, and I admire the spirit in which many regulars contribute.  As a recent joiner, I'm just suprised by the number of multiple posts that ask questions about what are clearly history or English Lit assignments

Not to mention the number of posters who get all annoyed when their homework isn't done by the time they get back!  Ignoring them is definitely the best method.
hi bangkok,i agree about the school questions.a few weeks ago we had millions of questions from the marlboro compo and it drove us all nuts!!and yes its best to ignore  them.
I'm with you, as ever, vinny100. I get very frustrated about people who post unclear questions, and then, upon asking for clarification or rephrasing, you get no response at all! This suggests that people don't give a sheet about the answer in the first place!. Can I also use this opportunity to congratulate NewForester on the depth, thought and thoroughness of his/her answers, too!
