Help her to feel more secure by having a night light and maybe a special teddy to look after her. When she comes into your bed say to her, you can have a quick cuddle then back to your bed. take her back and say it sleep time. keep on doing this and stay calm. try not to get annoyed. when she has gone through the night without coming in reward her in the morning.
this worked with my son.
this worked with my son.
hi my son is nearly 3 and we had these problem recently. first we had to put his stair gate back up on his bedroom door to stop him trying to get out of his room. when he woke up we just said its bedtime now and lay him back down. giving him as little attention as possible. if you start a conversation with her she will do it even more, we found that the night light made him wake up more. i think it is just a phase they go through. if you follow through with putting her back to bed without really talking to her she will just stop doing it. my son used to do it through habit.
