Please can you tell me how the soldiers feel after they came back from world war 1

Most of the ordinary soldiers were very young and thought fighting was going to be a bit of fun ( and were told it would be all over by Christmas) but it was hell in the trenches (and last 4 years) knee deep in water a lot of the time and  seeing their friends being blown to pieces. Those that survived came home to supposedly "A Land Fit For Heroes" but  a great many were shellshocked and disabled so couldn't work, so in fact came back to nothing - a lot ended up on the streets begging.

This is a brilliant interactive site that will give you all the answers you will need. Look at the site at the bottom right hand corner entitled 'For Kids 14-16 years old'

Dreadful title I know, but it does gives you first hand knowledge from a people who were around at that time, including a soldier.

I really wish I could answer this question positively max - but my Grandad was killed in action in WW1. He left a young widow & 5 ons, my Dad being one of them. So they never knew their Father so to speak & he didn't get the chance to come home to tell them of his experiences. RIP Grandad & chums.
