I once had a very clever Rottie who would give left if you asked for left and right if you asked for right. Far too samrt! My current puppy doesn't mind which paw he whacks me with. He's 8 months old today and weighs 10 stone. at least so we think, a visit to the weighbridge is planned for Saturday.
Ha cleva dog but 10st cant possibly be-we have a 14 yr old retriever and he only weighs 3/4st thats 3-4 stone and not 314 stone...never thought about it to be honest but i guess maybe the way they hold their bone chew...do they hold it wrapped over by their right paw or left...ha this is hysterical...cant believe im having this conv, well its paws for thoght.....boom boom!!!!!
McNoodle, it is perfectly acceptable English to use left handed as an adjective when referring to the preferred side an animal uses as out of habit, ANY animal.
blondein30s he is an English Mastiff and can be reasonably expected to reach 16 stone which is what his father weighs. These dogs are not fat, I can see his ribs, they're just huge. We stop traffic when we take him out.
