Guardian- Stuck on the answer for K,any help appreciated.Thank you.

These 'sound alike' clues can be confusing but a well structured clue should lead you to the correct answer.
I'm not saying that the clues in the Sunday Telegraph meet that statement as I feel the clueing is loose, but in the case of 2d 'Drag from the said lobby' - the definition is Drag and the answer therefore is Haul.
The answer 'sounds like' hall !

Thanks for the explanation. Usually I don't have a problem with soundalike clues,but this one had me tearing out what little hair I have, just like England lol!
If they play against France as they did Italy and Wales,then it could be very embarrassing for Mr Ashton's boys,so here's hoping that they don't suffer another mental meltdown!
