Zavvi versus HMV.

In recent times I've always shopped in HMV for my cd's and DVD's as it was more convenient to get to than Virgin and I thought that the prices were always comparable enough between both shops. Today however I was looking for a Season 6 DVD of Everybody Loves Raymond so I went to HMV and found they only had Season 7 available for �35, and no Season 6 so I thought I'd just go down to Zavvi, as it's now called. There, I found Season 6 for �9 and on top of that Season 7 for �10, I almost wet meself. Does anyone know was this a fluke or is Zavvi a more competitive retailer than Virgin was. Needless to say I'll be giving them a lot more business from henceforth.

Probably was a fluke, just an offer on that week. It's often swings and roundabouts like that.

I use neither. I've used play.com for all CD's, DVD's, Games etc for the last few years. Usually cheaper than everyone else and free p&p on everything.
