Mother's Day stories

Mother's Day is a very emotional time for me, for reasons I can't face going into. Any other ABers got emotional stories revolving round Mother's Day, or extraordinary ones if you prefer?

Hello there flipnflap,

This year Mother's Day will be very emotional for me as I lost my mum in June 08, so this will be the first without her. I just can';t bear the thought of this without her. I didn't celebrate Xmas.

I miss her so much.

muchlovex - that is sad to hear. I know it is different for everyone and we all deal with things in different ways but I reached a point of realising how much it would upset my mum, if she could see me, to know how unhappy i was. Of course I do get sad but on occasions like this, christmas etc I now try to focus on all the good times - things we did previous years etc. It does help. xx

mine is the same story as muchlovex only with my mum in law. Fortunately we will be in Florida so that will ease the pain and distract us from the day

i find mothers day very painful for 2 reasons.....

i will never be able to have children...........
i miss my own mum who lives 14 hours flight away.
