For more on marking an answer as the "Best Answer", please visit our FAQ.lisinopril is an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor (ace inhibitor) and is used in the treatment of heart failure, and can also be considered for treatment of hypertension,(high blood pressure). valsartan is an angiotensin-II receptor antagonist with properties similar to ace inhibitors but they do not inhibit the breakdown of bradykinin and other kinins, therefore it does not appear to cause the persistant dry cough which commonly complicates ace inhibitor therapy. valsartan is used to treat hypertension. so essentially, they are similar drugs, but work differently. hope i havent confused you too much, but i couldnt think of another way of describing them x
