Black box didn't even rip off the good bits! Unimaginative dross, and on the back of someone else to boot.
Reminds me of "u can't touch this" by MC Hammer -same era, another ******.... ripped off a classic Rick James (RIP) track, put a self important rap over it....and rightly got taken to the cleaners for it. And Vanilla Ice -ice ice baby , ripped off a Bowie song. And not even one of his better ones!
And another thing whilst i'm ranting ;-) on the subject of Alanis Morrissette- What the f*** is "ironic" about rain on a wedding day? Or anything else in that track's lyrics? Just goes to prove that many North Americans have NO idea about what irony actually is.
Off to vent my spleen elsewhere now!
Online polls need to taken with a large pinch of salt. During the 1980s, the BBC carried out a poll to identify the best single of all time. I think the winner was "She Loves You" by the Beatles, which is not too outrageous, but there were also three Bros songs in the top ten. Everyone will have their own rogue's gallery. Mine's includes "Banks of the Ohio" by Olivia Newton John, "Pipes of Peace" and "Mary Had a Little Lamb" by Paul McCartney, and anything by a solo Osmond.
