as you can see the music charts did not originally start till 1952.ie:-the selling of vinyl records.
so on that list should tell you..

Duet is two people isn't it?
A musical duet is a pairing of two people who don't regularly work together, e.g. Paul McCartney & Stevie Wonder, Phil Collins & Philip Bailey, Nick Cave & Kylie Minogue, etc.

The Everly Brothers and other such duos were a constant double act.
