Puppy Snapping

We have had a labrador retriver for the past 3 weeks, he is absolutely lovely. Only thing is he keeps snapping at my little girl, not being ficious or anything but playbiting like he thinks shes a puppy too! she tells him 'NO' but he doesnt listen to her or to us, even though he's very obidient otherwise.

he's 12 weeks old now but im afraid he wont grow out of this, and he does hurt her when he does it. We try to ignore him when he does it so he knows he's wrong.

we dont want to scold him as we want him to trust us. i'm afraid to let him in when my friends come around with their kids incase he does it to them as there alot younger then my daughter who is 5.

Does anyone have any experience with this?
it would be great to try and get him out of this habit.

Don't let him - ever. It's a game now, when he's a puppy, but he will be a fully-grown male in a few years and he has to learn his place in the pecking order right from the start.

Dr Ian Dunbar wrote a very useful article on teaching a puppy what is and is not acceptable when biting i.e. they have to learn how far they can go when they are puppies if they are to know what is not acceptable when adults.
