I see you had some great results yesterday at Crufts, 1st in LB?
Your ring was close to mine and I found your bench number in the catalogue and was about to come over, and an old friend caught me en route.
well done.

My old girl is twelve and a half and went like a train. The Best Puppy was also my Best Puppy and RCC winner, so I can't really argue with the judging (except maybe the dog CC winner who has a front like a Bulldog!). The BOB was a lovely bitch, very sound but not flashy. Got BOB here last year, only shown once since then, and took BIS at the club show. My poor feet are aching and my credit card is feeling very battered! How did yours go?
well considering I didnt think either my puppy dog or bitch were either judges type pretty good. Got reserve with puppy and VHC with bitch, so quite chuffed really. My bitch should never have been fifth though, he put a 'sheltie' up for third !......and had some great comments on puppy, so his time will come. I guessed that the Blakes would get BOB after they had been featured by the BBC, and everyone knew it was their 50th year at Crufts.......mmmmm!
I only bought some dog biscuits and a toy for the dog I left at home with OH. The crowds were so bad I couldnt get to the stalls I wanted to visit, makes a change for me.
Had a nightmare getting out, my friend went off to the car ahead of me, together with my removal passes......had to go to Hall 3 with the dogs to collect a duplicate.
Tickledtrout - Lankeela has lancashire heelers, I have rough collies (the breed that was featured last night on BBC2 Crufts).

Really pleased that the Giant Schnauzer won, he always pulls out all the stops. I believe they have retired him before now and brought him out again, as he loves showing so much. Glad that Lisa with the Samoyed told people how noisy they can be, they are so beautiful and people don't realise that they can be such a handful. Just hope that people don't go out to get either a Giant or a Sam just because they did well at Crufts. Secretly a bit glad that the Beagle didn't win, that girl gets on my t*ts. She comes from a family of show people, and they are very well known. Yes, they do have lovely dogs, but it doesn't hurt for your mother and grandmother to be top judges.
Also pleased for the breed that the Shiba didn't win, another breed not suitable for everybody. They can be so stubborn and need a lot of attention. Can't believe the trimming that they had done on the Wheaten, our breed standards says "Over-trimming or stylising should be penalised" although the Aussie Shepherd that was second in the Pastoral Group was also very trimmed.
Chi was lovely too, such a sound little mover,

Well done Lankeela: only three entered, wasn't it?
That Giant Schnauzer is a real star. So glad he won. Quite restores faith to see a dog do well without obvious politics! Right from first viewing in his breed competition he had winner writen all over him. Quite a record he has: that's the 14th time he's been Best in Show in an all breeds show. and he'd been Best in Group at Cruft's twice and second in Group once.
Talking of the mysteries of dogdom: what on Earth was that Wheaten terrier doing winning Group? It showed like a donkey, as it did in the Best in Show. It's an American dog....but that can't have anything to do with it, can it ?
