I have finished it but I can't find the diagonal !
I shall go boss eyed in a minute .. if any Spectator fan can just give me a clue I would be very grateful .

I am totally puzzled by my last one:
15a Reversing, say, a timber sledge, making use of garden (7)
The only word that seems to fit is pardale, but that is a leopard and has nothing to do with it.
For 8d I have ALLOMETRY, but I'm not sure that is right, now.
8d is Algometry

AL GORE - M for R - plus TRY for shot.

15a Yardage

EG + A + DRAY all reversed
