i have been readng local ads on gumtree for dogs, then found 2 scam ads, 1 said they are in leeds and have bulldog puppy to sell, i sent email to them, they replied that they are living in Penzance instead, garvy said it definately scam email, so we sent another email to test them and told them we r going to there next month, got reply after and asked we to pay deposit!! ha,
the another ad about macaws parrots, posted on leeds site, but email replied that they are living isle of man and gonna relocate to US,
how dare they are, stupid scams! reported those 2 posts already anyway.

Gumtree can be great - I found new homes for the five kittens my grandad's cat had (after taking in a pregnant stray cat - that we've now had spayed!) within a day of putting an advert up on Gumtree. We didn't ask for any money, just good homes. But, looking at Gumtree, it seems that many people want money. It's sad - they should just advertise in their paper and leave sites like this for more charitable endeavours.
